Jeffboat provides custom design and construction of marine vessels and equipment. Innovation, technology, superior engineering and expanded plant capacity has made us a leader in marine manufacturing. Our products include:  

• Hopper barges -- Covered and/or uncovered;
• Tank barges – Up to 30,000-barrel capacity for inland waterways or limited load line;
• Oceangoing tank barges -- Standard designs of 30,000- and 50,000-barrel capacity;
• Towboats – Complete design and construction.

Marine Repair Facilities
Jeffboat offers:

• Complete dry-docking capabilities;
• Full machine shop facilities for repair and storage of towboat propellers, rudders and shafts;
• Back-up support for emergency cargo salvage and equipment recovery;
• Scheduled programs of routine preventive maintenance.

Research & Development
JeffLabs, a subsidiary of Jeffboat, is entirely dedicated to developing groundbreaking solutions to transportation challenges by applying the latest technology. The engineers at JeffLabs are currently involved in programs designed to improve barge identification, river navigation, telematics and much more that will have far-reaching positive effects on our entire industry.

The telematics package JeffLabs is developing for the marine industry was initially focused as a barge tracking system. However,  the units will also be capable of reporting remote sensor and status data.  The units are battery powered and solar rechargeable.  A hardwired unit will also be available for low cost boat monitoring where power is available.  A map-based website has been developed to graphically plot and locate the assets being tracked.  Various other products are being evaluated for application in the marine environment.
