ACLTrac® for Advanced Supply Chain Management

The proprietary ACLTrac® system is an innovative tracking system we created to provide our customers with near-real-time electronic information. ACLTrac® allows customers to manage, monitor and track their shipments, as well as download information that can be uploaded into their supply chain management systems. We will continue to invest in e-business solutions like this one to seamlessly exchange information with our customers when and how they need it.

Fleet Service Solutions

We provide a complete line of marine, support repair and maintenance services to the wide variety of towboats and barges that move on the Inland Water System. These services include marine repairs, port services, terminal services, and environmental and regulatory consulting services.

Specialized Terminal and Port Facility Solutions

ACL operates a number of specialized facilities that allow us to transport a diverse mix of commodities with exceptional safety and efficiency. The Liquid Terminal in Memphis, Tennessee, provides liquid tank storage for third parties. The Western Terminal in St. Louis, Missouri, is designed specifically for the transloading of coal from railcars onto barges for multi-modal delivery to coal utility plants. The Lemont Terminal in Lemont, Illinois, provides bulk, non-bulk, and break-bulk warehousing and stevedoring services.

Modal and Inter-Modal Solutions

In addition to being a premier provider of barge services, ACL has a proven track record of working successfully with our modal partners to improve asset utilization for equipment owners, while reaching end use markets with the most competitive transportation price structure.

Third Party Logistics Solutions

BargeLink LLC, a joint venture with MBLX, Inc., which is based in New Orleans, provides third-party logistics services to international and domestic shippers who distribute goods throughout the Inland Waterways. BargeLink provides and arranges for ocean freight, customs clearance, loading and unloading cargo, trucking, storage and barge freight for its customers.

Scheduled Service

ACL initiated scheduled barge transportation service on major river segments. ACL offers sixth-morning arrival when moving southbound from Cairo to Baton Rouge and seventh-morning arrival when moving northbound from Baton Rouge to Cairo. ACL will establish new scheduled service offerings to significant shipping locations such as Minneapolis, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati in the north, as well as New Orleans and Houston in the south.

Port Services

ACL’s port services include fleeting, shifting, and cleaning. We have considerable experience in safely and efficiently moving equipment through fleeting areas. ACL uses this expertise to provide premium on-time services to its customers on a daily basis.

Marine Repair

ACL provides a complete line of marine support, repair and maintenance services to the wide variety of towboats and barges that move on the Inland Water System. Services include topside and dry dock repairs, engine overhauls, replacement parts, and outfitting of crews with essentials such as life jackets, bedding and galley utensils. ACL’s marine repair and support operations are strategically located throughout the Inland Waterways, and provide premium on-time services that customers have come to expect from ACL.

St. Louis
The Western Terminal located in St. Louis, Missouri is designed specifically for the transloading of coal from railcars onto barge for multi-modal delivery to coal utility plants.

Memphis
The Liquid Terminal located in Memphis, Tennessee, provides liquid tank storage for third parties. The Liquid Terminal also processes oily bilge water removed from towboats. The oil removed during the process is blended for fuel used by ACL's towboats or sold to third parties.
